By default, orders ship via USPS Ground Advantage — our most economical option. USPS estimates delivery in 5-10 business days but we have seen consistent problems with their service. We sometimes use UPS if it offers faster service for a better price.
However, for more consistent and faster service, we strongly recommend adding Priority Mail (only $6.50 upgrade fee) at checkout. Priority Mail typically delivers in 5-7 business days with much greater reliability based on what we've observed.

Shipping Costs & Our Commitment to Fair Pricing
We've shipped our products to every corner of the United States and carefully calculated our shipping rates based on real-world costs, package weights, dimensions, and destinations. While it's not an exact science (thanks to variables like size, weight, and location), we regularly review and adjust to ensure we're as accurate as possible — neither overcharging nor undercharging our customers.
To help keep things fair, we offer free shipping on bundled items like our popular trio packages. This offsets potential overcharges since our standard rates are calculated per item.
That said, if the calculated shipping fee for your order feels too high, please don't hesitate to reach out! Email me directly at sara@alaskins.com or give us a call at (907) 231-6575. We'll happily review your order, recalculate if needed, and apply a better rate or issue a refund when appropriate.
In most cases, we've found we're actually undercharging for shipping — but on the rare occasion it's the other way around, we're quick to make it right. Your satisfaction matters to us, and we're here to help! Alaska is a tricky place to do business in and we don't want to lose you as our customer over shipping!

Again, we strongly recommend adding Priority Mail to your order. Its just a one time $6.50 add on and your entire order will ship out Priority Mail rather than standard USPS Ground. If, however, you are not in a hurry for your order you can expect it within 2 weeks. Sometimes its faster, sometimes its not. Again, it makes no sense as to why, to where, and when the shipping time takes.
Shipping Upgrade Recommendation
We strongly recommend adding Priority Mail to your cart for just a one-time $6.50 upgrade. This switches your entire order from standard USPS Ground Advantage to Priority Mail, giving you faster and more reliable delivery.
If you're not in a rush, you're welcome to stick with the default USPS Ground Advantage option. Most orders arrive within 1–2 weeks, though delivery times can vary quite a bit—sometimes much quicker, other times longer—depending on distance, location, and factors outside our control. We've seen no clear pattern to why some packages fly through while others take longer, which can be frustrating when timing is important.
